Snake Orange Cake live Kulturvillanissa

Snake Orange Cake is the new project of Åland-born, Berlin-based artist Julia Carlsson. With loops, samplers, synths and voice she creates living sound worlds where spoken word meets experimental electronic music. The result is intimate, hypnotic and deeply emotional.

Each song is built in the moment. The voice becomes an instrument and layers of loops, beats and textures emerge before the audience. Raw lyrics, fragments of memories and dreamlike melodies are intertwined into a concert experience that is as enveloping as it is unpredictable.

The music draws material from her debut EP Lucid (2026), where intuition and creative process are at the center.

Destroy//Exist describes her work as “an individual artistic perspective, which prioritizes the method as well as the result, and uncovers brilliance in the space between them”, while Turtlenek calls her “an artist to watch!”
