Golf in Åland

In Åland you'll find all the challenges a golfer can ask for. The atmosphere at the golf establishments is pleasant and familiar and the courses offer varied play both when it comes to the type of course and landscape elements.

The golf season is long in Åland - from the beginning of May to the end of October. This is thanks to the sea, which warms Åland in the autumn and keeps the greens in good condition for much longer. The favourable winters also mean that the golf courses are ready to be played from the beginning of spring.

Golf package

The travel organisers in Åland offer affordable golf packages, where travel, accommodation and green fees with pre-booked starting times are included. Choose between staying in a cottage near the golf course or in a hotel in Mariehamn near the large selection of entertainment venues and activities. The hotels often offer the option of an early breakfast and late dinner for their golfing guests.

There are two complete 18-hole courses in the nature-rich environment of Kastelholm. The grounds are situated on a point between two inlets and feature an attractive clubhouse, café, restaurant, modern service building with offices, pro shop, changing rooms and sauna. The restaurant is fully-licenced.
