SILVERSKÄR ISLANDS

Silverskär is a unique meeting venue in Åland. Every group that visits Silverskär has the whole island exclusively to themselves, which makes it an excellent place for day conferences, management group sessions and board meetings. There is room for 100 people in the conference spaces and for 48 people to stay overnight. On Silverskär people work efficiently and in total seclusion, yet with access to fibre-optic broadband and all the technical equipment they might need.

ACCOMMODATION

On Silverskär the guests stay in five different buildings with a total of 48 beds. Both the buildings and the rooms have their own particular style and character.

Mellangårds has 3 bedrooms for 6 people; in Norrgårds there are 6 smaller single rooms; and Södergårds has 4 bedrooms and a sauna unit that accommodates 6 to 8 people. Västergårds, with its little annex, has 5 rooms and Ladugården 8 new, well-presented single/double rooms, each with its own bathroom.

All the buildings, which are located within easy walking distance of one another, have pleasant common lounge areas and all the usual conveniences. The Swedish Hotel and Restaurant Association (Visita) grading system awards Silverskär four stars.

RESTAURANT

On Silverskär you can get anything to eat from genuine home-cooked food to top-class à la carte dishes. All food is prepared from local raw products. The restaurant at Norrgårds accommodates 42 guests and Ladugårds 100 guests.

20 – 240 m2, and a varied outdoor environment with beautiful rocks, exciting woods, piers and boathouses.

After your work has been completed you can enjoy a well-earned break taking in the many activities available round the corner. Fishing outings, clay-pigeon shooting and kayak trips are just a few examples of ways you can put the icing on the cake in terms of meetings and conferences. The personal service and high degree of discretion provided at Silverskär over a period of 25 years has created a place many guests choose to return to year after year. As a matter of interest, you might like to know that some Veuve Clicquot Champagne is stored in the waters off Silverskär! 300 bottles of champagne and 50 bottles of Magnum are stored at a depth of 43 metres – a research project over several years under the auspices of the champagne house, the University of Reims and Silverskär.
