Is your time limited and you prefer to spend more time on Åland? The fastest way to reach Åland is to take the flight. It takes only 30 minutes from Arlanda/Stockholm and Turku and an hour from Helsinki. Ideal if you want to maximise your time on the islands or combine Åland with a longer Nordic itinerary.

You can travel between mainland Finland and Åland via small islands using the public ferries operated by Ålandstrafiken. This scenic route allows you to explore more along the way. Best suited for slow travel experiences and road trips with car or bicycle.
