Euro is the official currency.
Cashpoints
The following banks have their offices in Mariehamn: Ålandsbanken, Nordea and Andelsbanken.
Cashpoints accepting international credit cards are available in Mariehamn at Köpmansgatan and Torggatan and at Maxinge shopping center in Jomala and in Godby, Finström.
Remember that there are no cashpoints in the archipelago municipalities.
Post offices
Mail posted from Åland must carry a local stamp. There are post offices in the following municipalities: Mariehamn, Kökar and Kumlinge.
In some villages shops and bigger grocery stores in the countryside there are postal services available.
