School holiday at Åland Maritime Museum
During the autumn holidays, the Åland Maritime Museum invites children and adults to a cosy Swedish-speaking storytelling session aboard the museum ship Pommern.
Surrounded by creaking decks and a maritime atmosphere, visitors can enjoy stories that take them across the waves and into the world of imagination.
Sagor i Skansen will take place on Wednesday, 14 October, and Thursday, 15 October, at 2 pm aboard Pommern. The activity is aimed at children aged 4 to 10 together with their accompanying adults, offering a calm and atmospheric moment during the autumn holidays.
But the adventure doesn’t end when the story is over. Before or after the storytelling session, families can explore the museum’s many experiences. Follow a treasure hunt through the exhibitions, set off on an adventure with Ruby and the Sea, get creative with crafts in Korallen, or visit the popular Kryssa loss exhibition. There, children can try their hand at life aboard a ship by mixing pretend drinks at the bar, selling goods in the tax-free shop and taking a turn behind the reception desk.
Admission is €10 for adults and €7 for children, students and pensioners. The admission fee includes both the storytelling session and all the museum’s other experiences.
