Axgan Day is celebrated on October 9 – a day dedicated to highlighting Åland’s local ingredients, products and services.
When you choose Åland-made products or services, you make a direct contribution to supporting our local community. Tax revenues stay in Åland, which in turn contributes to better everyday life, schools, healthcare and social care on our islands.
More Axgans can make an immediate difference to our economy. By choosing local alternatives, we increase our net exports and local consumption. This means increased tax revenues and higher profits for our businesses. In addition, we create local jobs when we choose Åland-produced ingredients and products.
