Terms for Sharing Your Postcard
We love seeing your greetings from Åland! When you create a postcard using our postcard generator, you can choose to let us share it so that more people can experience the Åland feeling.
If you select "Yes, I'd love to!", you agree that your postcard – including your photo, message and sender name – may be shared by Visit Åland and made visible to people other than the recipients you send it to. Your postcard may be used to inspire others to discover Åland.
By consenting to share your postcard, you grant Visit Åland r.f. (Business ID: FI-01450804) a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, publish and distribute your postcard for marketing purposes through Visit Åland's own and external channels, including but not limited to websites, social media, newsletters, campaigns and printed materials. This licence also includes the text accompanying your postcard, either in its original form or in an edited version.
Visit Åland reserves the right to decide whether or not a postcard will be published.
By selecting "Yes, I'd love to!", you confirm that:
- you own the rights to the photo(s) included in your postcard, or otherwise have the right to grant Visit Åland permission to use them;
- you have obtained the consent of any identifiable persons appearing in the photo(s) for their use in accordance with these terms;
- the content of your postcard does not infringe the rights of any third party or violate any applicable laws.
You acknowledge and agree that Visit Åland may use your postcard without compensation and that you are not entitled to any financial remuneration for such use under these terms.
You also agree to indemnify and hold harmless Visit Åland and any persons acting on its behalf against any claims, demands or liabilities brought by third parties arising from the use of your postcard in accordance with these terms.
If your postcard contains personal data, such as names or identifiable individuals appearing in the photo(s), Visit Åland will process this data for the purpose of marketing Åland as a travel destination. The legal basis for this processing is your consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting Visit Åland. Withdrawal of consent will not affect any use that has already taken place prior to the withdrawal.
