Sightseeing on Summer Åland by Bus

The tour starts in Mariehamn and heads towards Kastelholm Castle and the Jan Karlsgården Open-Air Museum – two of Åland’s most visited attractions. Here you will have time to explore the historic surroundings at your own pace, and if you would like to stay a little longer or enjoy some extra time at nearby restaurant Smakbyn or Åland Distillery, there is an opportunity to do so.

The journey continues to the Bomarsund fortress ruins, Notvik Tower and the Bomarsund Visitor Centre, where Åland’s dramatic history comes to life through exhibitions depicting the site’s past.

After the visit, the bus returns to the Kastelholm area to pick up those who have chosen to stay there longer. Finally, a visit to Stallhagen brewery and gastropub, where you will have time to browse the cosy farm shop or try a local drink at the bar.
