Swing jazz musical “Sally”
This is the story – and swing jazz musical – about Sally Salminen, the Åland author of the novel Katrina, and about her life before she wrote her best-seller in New York. A so-called prequel to the story of Katrina itself. The story mostly takes place in New York, where Sally traveled with her sister Aili in 1930 to work as maids. They were young, more ambitious than allowed, and many exciting things happened during their years in New York. But Sally also visited her home in Vårdö during these years and met, among others, a neighbour named Katrina… The lead role will be played by actress and singer Stella Laine. Other professional actors also take part: Niklas Häggblom, Johanna af Schultén, and Jon Henriksen. The director is Arn-Henrik Blomqvist. Performance duration: 2h 15min, including intermission. Ticket prices (including a service fee of €3): Regular price: €40 Seniors & students: €35 Groups of over 10 people: €33 Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged.
